MPSA: Call For Papers Extended

MPSA logoThe deadline for submitting paper proposals to the Teaching and Learning section of the April 2015 MPSA conference in Chicago has been extended to Friday, October 10. Information about submitting a proposal for the conference is here. The section is also looking people willing to serve as discussants and panel chairs.

The section welcomes paper, panel, round-table and junior scholar symposium proposals on all topics related to educating both undergraduate and graduate students. Proposals could explore such topics as: assessment, civic engagement, curriculum development, diversity within the classroom, experiential learning, internships, service learning, simulations, teaching strategies, and technology. Papers that use empirical evidence (broadly construed) to make and assess claims about the effectiveness of teaching practice are particularly encouraged. Qualitative, interpretive, quantitative, theoretical, or philosophical approaches will all be considered.
